Brian Siguenza is a 19-year resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; the City of Five Seasons. A 2004 graduate of The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Brian spent three years in television, working for KCAU in Sioux City then coming home to produce the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts for KGAN. He then went to The Gazette, where in a year he moved up to Interactive Features Reporter.
Brian now wants to getting into communications for a government or non-profit organization. He thinks joining VISTA’s Corridor Recovery effort is a great way to not only get started on that path, but help a city still trying to rebuild from the Flood of 2008. Join him as he chronicles a year of service.
